Prosciutto Day 2017

Hacía mucho, mucho tiempo que no dibujaba. Desde hace un par de años, mi trabajo no me deja apenas tiempo libre. Espero poder actualizar de vez en cuando. Dibujé este Prosciutto para un desafío de Facebook. Casualmente lo he terminado en el "Prosciutto Day".

I haven't updated for ages! Sorry. To say true, since I got my present job I barely have time to draw. I hope I'll be able to share new works here more often.
I've drawn this Prosciutto for a Facebook challenge. I've just finished it and then I've just noticed that today is Prosciutto Day!!

 

Risotto Aureo

Cansada de la imagen de bienvenida de mi web, decidí dibujar algo parecido (Risotto de perfil), pero a la vez distinto.
Me he inspirado en los emblemas de cada una de las partes de Jojo's Bizarre Adventure en que Araki dibuja a los protagonistas dentro de un medallón dorado.

I was tired of the old index image in my site, so I decided to change it and draw something simmilar (Risotto's profile) but very different.
I got inspired by Jojo's Bizarre Adventure parts emblems that show every Jojo in a kind of golden medallion.

Pronti a uccidere

Hace tiempo que tenía ganas de dibujar a la Squadra completa, a punto de actuar.
Por desgracia, en el manga nunca vimos a los asesinos trabajando juntos, en equipo.
Aunque quizás no hubiera sido posible, ya que por la naturaleza de sus poderes, algunos de sus miembros tendrían dificultades para combinar sus habilidades o podrían acabar también con sus compañeros si se encontraban en su rango de acción.

I really felt like drawing the full Squadra with its seven members ready for action.
Unfortunately, we never saw them working together, as a team.
Maybe it wasn't possible. Some of the assassins could have found rather difficult to combine their powers with their teammates's due to  the nature of their stands. They could even have been killed by their friends if they were too close to them.

Cerniere

Esta es una de las ilustraciones que realicé para la antología coreana. Quería dibujar a Prosciutto peleando contra Bucciarati desde el punto de vista de este.
El stand del guardaespaldas ha abierto algunas cremalleras en el cuerpo del asesino.
Mi plan incial era dibujar también a Grateful Dead deteniendo el golpe, pero recargaba demasiado el fondo, así que lo suprimí. El combate de Prosciutto en el tren es uno de los más emocionantes de la quinta parte.

This is one of the illustrations I drew for the korean anthology. It shows Prosciutto fighting against Bucciarati form the point of view of the last one.
The bodyguard's stand has already openend some zippers on the assassin's body.
I first planned to include the Grateful Dead in this work, but at the end I dediced to remove it because of the background; the scene resulted a little too confusing.
Prosciutto vs. Bucciarati on the train is one of my favorite scenes in the manga.

He actualizado la página de bienvenida de la web con este fanart de Formaggio. También he subido, en la sección "gift" los dibujos que me han dedicado últimamente algunas amigas.

Formaggio puede ser como Gulliver en el País de los Gigantes o en el de los Enanos. Seguramente utilice su poder de reducir su propio tamaño para infiltrarse discretamente en el lugar donde se encuentre su víctima. Pero para matar, es mucho más útil la otra faceta de su poder:  volver a su objetivo  tan pequeño como un insecto. De este modo, le basta con pisarlo para terminar su trabajo.


Pero aquí Formaggio y Little Feat sólo están echándome una mano acercándome un lápiz.

I've updated my fansite with a new top image: a Formaggio one. I'm also sharing the works  some friends have lately drawn for me. You can see them in the "gift" gallery.

Formaggio can become a kind of Gulliver in Lilliput or in Brobdingnag. He surely uses his stand  to reduce his own size when he needs to  infiltrate discreetly his victim's place.

But his power is more useful to kill when it makes his target shrink to the size of an insect. This way Formaggio only has to step on him or her to do his job.

But in this illustration, Formaggio and Little Feat show a more kind aspect and  are just helping me and  bringing me a pencil.

Maschera antigas

Al igual que "Man in the Mirror", el stand de Illuso parece llevar un gorro con gafas de aviador, el diseño de la cabeza de "The Grateful Dead" recuerda un poco la de un hombre llevando una especie de máscara de gas.
No sería descabellado teniendo en cuenta que su "arma" es el humo que brota de los ojos que cubren todo su extraño cuerpo.

Man in the Mirror; Illuso's stand, seems to be wearing a pilot hat with goggles. In the case of "the Grateful Dead", its head reminds the one of a man wearing a kind of gas mask.

That would have some logic, taking into account that this stand's "weapon" is the smoke expelled by the multiple eyes that cover its strange body.

Fratello e l'amico invisibile

Pasadas las fiestas, mi web luce una nueva imagen de bienvenida. Una vez más, Prosciutto y su terrible stand, the Grateful Dead.
Muestro también un fragmento del boceto que ha servido de base.

Christmas time is over and now my site welcomes its visitors with a new top illustration. It's Prosciutto's turn again. I drew him with his scary stand, the Grateful Dead.

Por otro lado, quería mostrar mi regalo del Amigo Invisible que han organizado en tumblr algunos fans de Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Se trata de un llavero de madera, pintado a mano, con la forma de Risotto. Venía en el interior de una bolsa de tela con uno de mis fanarts impresos. Es una auténtica monada.

I also feel like showing you a gift I've recently received. Some Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fans in tumblr organized a Secret santa event. This wooden handpainted keyring is a funny Risotto my Santa made for me. It came into a little cloth bag with one of my fanarts printed on it. A really cute present.

Il mio desiderio

Continúa mi preocupación por Japón. Espero que la situación no sea tan alarmante como la pintan en las noticias de mi país. Ojalá el peligro de la central nuclear se desvanezca y la gente pueda ir volviendo a la normalidad, aunque seguramente ya nada va a ser como antes.

Para relajar un poco tanta tensión, este Chibi Risotto decora desde hoy el layout del blog.

I'm still worried about what is happening in Japan. I sincerely hope the situation there isn't as alarming as described on TV news here. I hope danger in nuclear central will finally vanish, so the people will be able to return to their normal lives. Even if such a thing will be impossible for some of them.

To relax a little, I've changed my blog layout: chibi Risotto everywhere.

Prattica

Dibujo rápido a modo de práctica, por eso es tan simple.
Realizado a mano alzada en una sola capa sin boceto previo ni línea de base.
Para la segunda versión he usado un filtro de Photoshop.

That's a fast drawing practice, that's why it is so simple.

Freehand on a single layer, withour previous sketch nor lineal basis.

For second version  I used a Photoshop filter.

Bianco e nero: Pesci

Llegó el turno de Pesci y Beach Boy. Juraría que esta vez lo he dibujado aún más feo que de costumbre.
Ya sólo queda Risotto para concluir esta serie de dibujos en blanco y negro.
He decidido que los usaré para ilustrar los perfiles de los personajes en la web.

This time is Pesci's and Beach Boy's turn. I guess I've drawn him even uglier than usual.

Only Risotto is left to finish this black and white series.

I've decided that I'll use them  for a character profile section in the site I'm preparing right now.

Bianco e nero: Formaggio

Siguiendo con la serie de dibujos en blanco y negro, hoy  presento a Formaggio.
Es la primera vez que dibujo a su stand, Little Feet.
Me gusta mucho su diseño. Recuerda a una hormiga, lo cual, resulta muy apropiado para un stand que miniaturiza a los seres vivos pudiendo volverlos más diminutos que cualquier insecto, y eso si Formaggio no detiene su poder, ya que la reducción podría ser infinita.
Formaggio lleva en la mano un frasco que contiene una araña que utilizará para torturar a sus víctimas una vez las vuelva más pequeñas que el insecto. Y es que hasta un simple bicho puede convertirse en un peligroso monstruo si su tamaño es mayor que el tuyo.

Another black and white drawing. This time, there you have Formaggio.

I've drawn his stand, Little Feet, by the first time. 

I like very much its design, that reminds me an ant. I find this idea very accurate, because Little Feet reduces the size of  people after  cutting them with its long nail. They can become smaller than any insect if Formaggio doesn't stop its power.

Formaggio holds a flask in wich there is a spider. He'll use it to torture his victims after shrinking them. A mere insect can be a real monster if you are so tiny.

Un Babbo Natale perfetto

Ando muy liada estos días con las compras de Navidad y otros asuntos que no me están dejando mucho tiempo para dibujar.
Pero no podía dejar de compartir algo relacionado con las Fiestas.
Un Papá Noel perfecto debe ser un ancianito, así que si no tenemos uno a mano, ahí está The Gratetful Dead para solucinarlo.

I'm so busy these days buying Xmas presents and making all the preparations!. I barely have some free time to draw.

But I got to finish a little something related to Christmas.

A perfect Santa should be an old man. If you can't find one, there you have "The Grateful Dead" to settle it.

メリークリスマス、日本の友人!

Bianco e nero: Prosciutto

Para esta ilustración en blanco y negro decidí que Prosciutto debía llevar un traje blanco en lugar de su habitual ropa oscura. Me pareció que el contraste entre claroscuros resaltaría más así.

De cualquier modo, el estampado de su traje sigue presente en la imagen gracias la telaraña del fondo, que le da también un aire amenazador. Y es que no lo puedo evitar: Para mí, The Greatful Dead es uno de los stands  más temibles.

In this black and white illustration, I made Prosciutto wear a white suit instead of his dark one because I thought the contast is nicer this way.

But the pattern on his usual clothes is present somehow, thank to the webcob behind him. Besides, I feel that this background makes him look more threatening...I've to confess that The Greatful Dead is one of the stands I find more frightening.

Bianco e nero: Ghiaccio

El invierno está a punto de empezar, pero el tiempo está siendo bastante benévolo por ahora. Sin embargo, Ghiaccio y su White Album siempre pueden hacer cambiar radicalmente la situación.

Tercer fanart  únicamente en blanco y negro. ¿Quién aparecerá en el siguiente?

Winter is about to begin, but weather isn't being specially cold.  Nevertheless, Ghiaccio can always change radically the situation with hisWhite Album.

This is the third black and white work. Who will be next?

Esta vez le toca el turno a Illuso y su "Man in the Mirror". El marco del espejo no lo he dibujado yo. Es una trama.

Estoy trabajando en la que será mi web de "Assassini". Tendrá prácticamente los mismos contenidos que este blog, pero será más fácil visualizar los dibujos. Mejoraré y retocaré un poco algunos de los más viejos.
Espero tenerla lista para principios del año que viene.
Me pregunto si hay más webs de fanart en Occidente dedicadas en su mayor parte a la Squadra; en Japón hay muchísimas.

I'm working right now in my "Assassini" site. It will contain more or less the same art you can find here, but I think it will be easier to look every fanart there. I'll retouch and correct some of my old stuff.

I hope it'll be ready in January.
I wonder if there are other western fanart sites with the Squadra men as main subject. In Japan you can find tons of them.

Bianco e nero: Melone

Estos días, ando liada con otros dibujos, así que subiré unos fanarts rápidos de los chicos de la Squadra con sus stands, en los que he utilizado únicamente blancos y negros. Es una combinación que siempre me ha gustado.
Para empezar, Melone y Baby Face.

I'm rather busy lately with other drawings, so, starting today, I'll share fast fanart of every Squadra member and their stands. In these works, I used black and white only. 
I've always liked this simple color combination. 
The first one is Melone, with his Baby Face.

Buona pesca!

Si tuvieras un stand como Beach Boy, ¿qué atraparías con él? ¿El corazón de la persona que te gusta? ¿El tiempo perdido? ¿Una oportunidad?
Beach Boy captura cualquier cosa. No hay obstáculos para esta caña mágica. Seguro que Pesci lo dio forma debido a un deseo interno de no quedarse atrás, de no ser el último y poder ir hacia delante "capturando" la distancia que le separa del nivel de sus compañeros.

If Beach Boy were your stand, what would you "fish" with it? The heart of the person you like? Wasted time? A lost chance?

Beach Boy can reach anything, there is no obstacle for this magical fishing rod. I'm sure that Pesci made it born due to his inner wish to not to fall behind, to go forward "catching" the distance between his teammates' level and his own one.

Transformazione

Hoy quería compartir un gif animado.
Nunca he realizado animaciones, así que el resultado es bastante mejorable.
No es exactamente así cómo imagino el momento en que White Album toma forma, aunque se aproxima un poco.

This time, I'd like to share an animated gif I've just made. I've never made this before, so, I'm afraid the result could be far better.
I don't imagine White Album appearing exactly like this, but the result is close to my idea.

Il suo migliore amico

El mundo del interior del espejo es frío y solitario.
Illuso y las personas a quienes permite entrar son las únicas formas de vida en esta dimensión.
Estoy segura de que a Illuso no le gustan las multitudes y que en una fiesta, banquete o concierto se sentiría tremendamente incómodo.
Aunque con sus compañeros de la Squadra haya logrado estar a gusto, su mejor amigo es su stand, "Man in the Mirror", su alter ego, su verdadero yo, "alguien" a quien muy pocos pueden ver y a quien sólo él conoce realmente.

The world inside the mirror is cold and lonely.
Illuso and the few people given permission by him to enter his personal dimension are the only lifeforms there.
I'm sure of Illuso hating crowded places. He probably feels uncomfortable in feasts, parties and concerts.
Maybe he got used to his teammates in the "Squadra" , but his best friend is still his stand, "Man in the Mirror", his alter ego, his true self. "Someone" who only very few people can see; "someone" well known only by him.

I Morti Riconoscenti

¿Qué puede haber tan oscuro en el alma de Prosciutto como para dotarlo del espantoso poder de arrebatar la juventud y la vitalidad a los seres vivos?.
El diseño de su stand, "The Grateful Dead" es además digno de pesadilla; con esos inquietantes ojos que cubren todo su "cuerpo", la ausencia de piernas o abdomen y los cables que cuelgan de su cintura como si fueran intestinos desgarrados.
Pero por terrible que sea, "Grateful Dead" tiene varios puntos débiles: no puede seleccionar a su víctima, atacando sin distinción a toda forma de vida que se encuentre en su ámbito. El frío ralentiza considerablemente su influencia y por otro lado, consume tanta energía de su anfitrión, que resulta algo lento y poco agil para la lucha.
Eso no quita que posea una gran fuerza: en el viaje a Venecia, lo vimos destrozar fácilmente uno de los asientos del tren.
Con debilidades o sin ellas, no deja de ser terrible y junto al "White Album" de Ghiaccio, es el más apto de la "Squadra" para el asesinato simultáneo de docenas de personas.

El poder de "The Grateful Dead" es totalmente opuesto al de Alessi, personaje de la Tercera Parte cuyo stand hacía rejuvenecer a sus víctimas hasta transformarlas en embriones que morían al encontrarse fuera del útero materno.
Me pregunto si sus poderes se anularían mutuamente en caso de que se enfrentaran.

I wonder what kind of darkness may reside in Prosciutto's soul to give him the awful power to deprive living beings from their vitality and youth.
His stand "The Grateful Dead" has a nightmarish design with all those disturbing eyes popping out from its "body", the lack of legs or an abdomen and these cut wires hanging from its open waist as if they were torn guts.
Despite of being so scary,"The Grateful Dead" has several weak points: it can't chose its victims and attacks every living being inside its perimeter. Cold temperature slows down considerably its power and finally, it wastes too much energy, so, when fighting, "The Grateful Dead" isn't fast nor precise.
However it's still very strong: we saw it smashing easily a seat on the train during the trip to Venice.
Prosciutto's "Greatful Dead" and Ghiaccio's "White Album" are the only stands in "La Squadra" able to kill simaltaneously dozens of people.

In "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure" Third Part we found a stand user whose power was simmilar to Prosciutto's, but right the opposite.
Do you remember Alessi? His stand made people become younger and younger. His victims could even become embryos and die due to being out of their mother's wombs.
I wonder what would happen if Alessi and Prosciutto had fight. Would their respective powers cancel each other out?
