Pattinaggio su ghiaccio

Mi fansite cumple hoy cuatro años.
Aunque no la actualizo tan a menudo como debería, me alegra haber sido capaz de mantenerla tanto tiempo.
El año que viene me gustaría hacer algo especial para celebrar su quinto aniversario. Tengo doce meses para pensarlo.

Estamos viviendo un invierno muy frío. Sería estupendo contar con un stand como White Album que te arropa y protege de las bajas temperaturas.
Me pregunto si Ghiaccio ya sabía patinar sobre hielo antes de tener un stand o si aprender a hacerlo es parte de los poderes que White Album le otorga.

My fansite started exactly four years ago.
I don't update it so often as I should, but I'm glad anyway of having been able to keep it so long.
I'd like to prepare something special  next year to celebrate its fifth anniversary. I already have a whole year to think in it.

We're having a very cold winter. It'd be great to have a stand such as White Album, that protects you from extreme cold while making you confortable inside it.
I wonder if Ghiaccio learnt to skate before having a stand, or if he acquired this ability as a part of his powers.

Bagno freddo

El servidor de mi web ha cambiado. Como no se me notificó, estuve intentando actualizar sin éxito durante días. Por suerte ya pude contactar con Funpic y me facilitaron la nueva dirección.

Por otro lado, este blog ha cumplido ya dos años, en concreto el pasado 6 de agosto y no me había dado cuenta. Ya es demasiado tarde, pero  para el siguiente aniversario me gustaría hacer un sorteo o algo especial.

Este fanart es la nueva imagen de bienvenida de la web. Aunque agosto está terminando, aún es verano. en Italia todavía hace calor.
Y Ghiaccio lo combate a su manera. Espero que no hubiera nadie más en la piscina en ese momento.

My site ftp-server has changed. I didn't know it and tried to update for days with no result. I was really worried. Fortunately, I contacted Funpic and they provided me the new adress.

 By the other hand, this blog is two years old since last August 6th. and I hadn't noticed. Now it's too late, but I hope I'll be able to do something special next year, like a kind of lottery.

This illustration is the new top image in my site. August may be about to finish but it's still summer and in Italy it's hot.

Ghiaccio fights this heat his own way. I hope there wasn't anybode else in that swimming pool.

Communicazione

La eficacia del trabajo en equipo de la Squadra le debe mucho a la rapidez con que sus componentes se comunican entre ellos.
En el manga pudimos ver cómo, incluso a punto de morir, encontraban siempre el momento de pasar el testigo a algun compañero y de facilitarle tanto la localización como cualquier información sobre sus rivales. De este modo, no dieron tregua en ningun momento a los guardaespaldas.

Good and fast communication in Squadra was one of the things that made their teamwork so efficient. 

In the manga we could see that even badly injured or about to die, every assassin  found always the way to call one of their teammates to inform him about their targets's location and about the last informations he got about them.

That's how they didn't stop any moment chasing the bodyguards.

 

Capelli blu

El maestro Araki nunca ha dado importancia a los colores. Me pregunto si cuando idea a sus personajes, los imagina en blanco y negro, ya que es así como aparecen en las páginas del manga.
En sus ilustraciones a color o en las portadas de los volúmenes de Jojo's Bizarre Adventure su principal objetivo es impactar con combinaciones muy contrastadas y llamativas que varían cada vez y no sólo en la ropa, si no también los de los ojos y el cabello.
Como no hay coloreado oficial para los personajes que no han aparecido en el anime, incluso se producen figurasen diferentes pintados.
Esto da mucha la libertad al fanartista, aunque curiosamente, al cabo de un tiempo aparecen unos colores que los fans terminamos por aceptar como si fueran algo establecido.
Así ha pasado con Ghiaccio. Cuando pienso en él lo imagino con sus extraños bucles azules; los tonos fríos son adecuados para  él y casi todos sus fans lo dibujan con el cabello celeste o turquesa claro.
Sin embargo, cuando apareció el juego para PS2 basado en la Quinta Parte, Ghiaccio nos sorprendió con el pelo rubio y otra combinación de tonos en la ropa. A falta de anime, es lo que podría considerarse una versión oficial.
Personalmente, me gustan más los colores  de los fans, pero quería también mostrar una versión del asesino de hielo con el cabello y la ropa tal y como figuran en el juego. ¿Qué combinación te gusta más?

Araki sensei doesn't mind colors. I wonder if he imagines his charaters in black and white when he creates them, because that's how they look in manga pages. 

In Jojo's Bizarre Adventure color illustrations and volume covers, Araki's intention is just  to impact the readers with high contrasts and funny color combinations, that's why not only the clothes, but the hair and eyes are painted in different tones every time he draws a character. There isn't a official coloring for characters that haven't been brought to anime, so you can even find a same figure model manufactured in several color combinations. 

That gives the fanartists a lot of freedom, but at the end, there is some kind of agreement and most of us use some determined color. 

For instance, in Ghiaccio's case, I'm always imagining him with his curls blue; cold tones are perfect for him and his powers, most fans chose this haircolor.

But when Part Five PS2 game appeared, Ghiaccio showed other different coloring. Since there isn't anime based in this part of the manga, that can be considered as the official coloring: a blond Ghiaccio and darker colors for his clothes. 

I personally like better his blue hair, but wanted, anyway,draw Ghiaccio in the game coloring, too.

Riposandosi dopo l'allenamento

Cuando no tiene ningún "encargo", imagino a Ghiaccio haciendo deporte. Entrenando cada día para mantener las piernas ágiles y poderse desplazar con rapidez cuando patina con su stand.
Después del ejercicio, en verano, nada como buscar un rincón agradable para leer un poco de poesia.

When Ghiaccio hasn't any "job" to accomplish, I imagine him training to keep his legs fit and agile, so he can skate at high speed when using his stand. 

After it, in summer, nothing better than resting in a nice corner and read some poetry.

Hai caldo?

El verano ha entrado pisando fuerte, con una  ola de calor. ¡Estos días estamos superando los 40º!
Cuando sudo tanto me acuerdo de Ghiaccio. No me atrevería a pedirle que refrescara el ambiente porque eso podría ser letal, pero sí que envidio su stand. Dentro de White Album la temperatura es siempre perfecta; haga frío o calor en el exterior.

Hoy lo he dibujado gastando una broma a Melone...No creo que este se lo tome muy bien...

Summer starts hard, bringing a heat wave. Last days we're having more than 40ºC (104º F)!!

When it's so hot, I can't stop thinking in Ghiaccio. I'd never dare to ask him to make the weather cooler, because it would be letal, but in days like these, I wish I had his stand. Inside White Album the temperature is always perfect, never mind if it the weather is nice or horrible outside.

I've drawn him playing a bad joke on Melone...I'm sure he won't have a lovely reaction...

Cuore gelido

He actualizado la web con un retrato de Ghiaccio.
Mirando mis fanarts de la Squadra, me doy cuenta de que no he dibujado demasiado al dueño de White Album. ¡Y eso hay que remediarlo!
Ghiaccio tiene un fuerte temperamento y cualquier pequeña cosa le hace explotar, pero aunque parezca muy fogoso, estoy segura de que alguien con su extraordinario poder debe tener un corazón frío como un témpano.

I've updated my site with a new Ghiaccio's portrait.

I've noticed that I haven't drawn White Album's owner very often! He deserves more of my attention!.

Ghiaccio has a strong character. Little things can infuriate him easily, but even if he seems to be an ardent guy,I'm sure that there is actually something frozen in the deepest of his soul that gives him his awsome power.

Bianco e nero: Ghiaccio

El invierno está a punto de empezar, pero el tiempo está siendo bastante benévolo por ahora. Sin embargo, Ghiaccio y su White Album siempre pueden hacer cambiar radicalmente la situación.

Tercer fanart  únicamente en blanco y negro. ¿Quién aparecerá en el siguiente?

Winter is about to begin, but weather isn't being specially cold.  Nevertheless, Ghiaccio can always change radically the situation with hisWhite Album.

Transformazione

Hoy quería compartir un gif animado.
Nunca he realizado animaciones, así que el resultado es bastante mejorable.
No es exactamente así cómo imagino el momento en que White Album toma forma, aunque se aproxima un poco.

I don't imagine White Album appearing exactly like this, but the result is close to my idea.

Castagne arrostite

Una de las tradiciones del otoño en los países mediterráneos son las castañas asadas.
Se tuestan en unos puestos callejeros y se venden, calentitas, por docenas, en cucuruchos de papel.
Siendo italianos ¿por qué no iban los chicos de la Squadra a dejarse llevar por esta costumbre? Cuando empieza a hacer frío es difícil resistirse al olor de las castañas al fuego.

Tengo la impresión de que, a pesar de su diferencia de caracter, Melone y Ghiaccio se llevan bastante bien. Me gusta la extrañísima pareja que forman.
En el manga vimos que tenían buena comunicación cuando intercambiaban información telefónica, así que no es difícil imaginar que hayan trabajado en equipo más de una vez.

One of the most apreciated autumnal traditions in mediterranean countries is to eat roast chestnuts.
They are cooked on the street, in stalls where they are sold in dozens and served hot in papercones.
Why not imagining the Squadra boys eating them from time to time as proper Italians?
When it begins to be cold, one can't resist the delicious scent of chestnuts being roasted on fire.

I have the feeling that Melone and Ghiaccio really get along, in spite of their different characters. I like the odd couple they make.
In the manga, we noticed their good communication by cell phone, so, I suppose they are used to work together as a team.

Si Abbacchio y Ghiaccio hubieran peleado, está clarísimo quién hubiera sido derrotado. El stand del ex-policía, Moody Blues, si bien es utilísimo para recabar información, no es muy adecuado para la lucha.
Frente al "Cero Absoluto" del White Album de Ghiaccio no habría tenido nada que hacer.
Imaginemos que el Equipo de Asesinos y el de Guardaespaldas se hubieran unido. Estoy segura de que Leone habría dado la bienvenida su nuevo compañero con uno de sus "tés especiales".

Imagine a fight between Abbachio and Ghiaccio. I'm sure that Ghiaccio's victory would have been overwhelming.
The former police officer's stand, "Moody Blues" is pretty useful and awsome, but its power consists in finding information. It's not very gifted for fighting.
Face to the terrible White Album's "Absolute Zero", it would have been totally harmless.
In the hypothetical case of assassin and bodyguard teams merging, I bet Leone would welcome his new teammate with one of his "special teas".

Albume Bianco

"White Album", es el stand de Ghiaccio y tiene forma de traje o armadura, cubriéndole por completo. Con su poder de hacer descender la temperatura hasta límites imposibles, siempre me ha parecido tremendamente poderoso, casi invencible. Su diseño es elegante y esa especie de orejas de gatito le dan un aire gracioso.

He visto que muchas fanartistas dibujan a Ghiaccio muchísimo más guapo de lo que es. Sin embargo, con esos rizos extraños, sus gafas de pasta, los ojos saltones y unos gestos poco favorecedores no puede decirse que sea una belleza.
A mí me gusta tal como es, aunque a veces yo también le dibujo un poco más atractivo sin darme cuenta.
Lo que me resulta más divertido de Ghiaccio son sus ataques de furia provocados por el significado de dichos o expresiones que le parecen ridículos o por el uso que la gente hace de algunas palabras. Es un verdadero "cultureta".

"White Album" is Ghiaccio's stand. It looks like a suit or an armor that wraps its host's full body. It has the power to make the temperature descend to impossible limits, and I've always thought it is a highly powerful stand, almost invincible.
White Album design is pretty smart. and that sort of cat ears on the helmet make it look cute, too.

Several fanartists use to draw Ghiaccio far handsomer than he actually is, but with his odd curls, his horn-rimmed glasses and his bulging eyes, he's far to be a beauty.
Anyway, I like him like he is, with all his ugliness, even if I have to confess that sometimes, without noticing, I draw him a little more prettier, too.
What I find the funniest in Ghiaccio is his way to infuriate when he thinks in the meaning of some expressions or idioms that sound absurd to him or in how people missuse words. He's a real "language hipster".

Ferie!

¡Por fin estoy de vacaciones! Los últimos meses han sido muy duros en el trabajo, así que las necesitaba de verdad.
En estos días de verano, cuando hace tanto calor, no vendría mal tener a mano a Ghiaccio para que activara un poquito (sólo un poco, o moriríamos) ese poder suyo que hacer descender rápidamente la temperatura.
Estoy segura de que le encantan las cosas frías incluso en invierno.

Holidays, finally! These last months have been awfully hard at work, so I really needed  to enjoy some free days.
It's summer and when it's so hot I miss Ghiaccio. I want a little (just a little, or I'd die) of his power of making  the temperature descend .
I bet he likes cold things even in winter.
