Buona notizia

Después de una larga espera, por fin se ha anunciado para octubre de este año el inicio del anime de Vento Aureo.
Espero que el estudio de animación haga un buen trabajo. Estoy deseando ver a los asesinos en movimiento y escuchar sus voces.
En una de las primeras imágenes que se han mostrado vemos que el color que han escogido para el traje de Giorno es rosa.
Así que he decidido retocar un viejo fanart, hacer algunas modificaciones, voltearlo y cambiarle el color de la ropa.

After waiting for so long, finally Vento Aureo anime has been announced. 
It will start next October.
I hope they will do a good job. I'm really anxious to enjoy the assassins moving and speaking.
One of the first promotional images shows Giorno dressed in pink.
That's why I decided to change a little an old Giorno Fanart: I retouched the face, flipped it and modify the suit color.

Prosciutto Day 2017

Hacía mucho, mucho tiempo que no dibujaba. Desde hace un par de años, mi trabajo no me deja apenas tiempo libre. Espero poder actualizar de vez en cuando. Dibujé este Prosciutto para un desafío de Facebook. Casualmente lo he terminado en el "Prosciutto Day".

I haven't updated for ages! Sorry. To say true, since I got my present job I barely have time to draw. I hope I'll be able to share new works here more often.
I've drawn this Prosciutto for a Facebook challenge. I've just finished it and then I've just noticed that today is Prosciutto Day!!

 

Risotto Aureo

Cansada de la imagen de bienvenida de mi web, decidí dibujar algo parecido (Risotto de perfil), pero a la vez distinto.
Me he inspirado en los emblemas de cada una de las partes de Jojo's Bizarre Adventure en que Araki dibuja a los protagonistas dentro de un medallón dorado.

I was tired of the old index image in my site, so I decided to change it and draw something simmilar (Risotto's profile) but very different.
I got inspired by Jojo's Bizarre Adventure parts emblems that show every Jojo in a kind of golden medallion.

Pattinaggio su ghiaccio

Mi fansite cumple hoy cuatro años.
Aunque no la actualizo tan a menudo como debería, me alegra haber sido capaz de mantenerla tanto tiempo.
El año que viene me gustaría hacer algo especial para celebrar su quinto aniversario. Tengo doce meses para pensarlo.

Estamos viviendo un invierno muy frío. Sería estupendo contar con un stand como White Album que te arropa y protege de las bajas temperaturas.
Me pregunto si Ghiaccio ya sabía patinar sobre hielo antes de tener un stand o si aprender a hacerlo es parte de los poderes que White Album le otorga.

My fansite started exactly four years ago.
I don't update it so often as I should, but I'm glad anyway of having been able to keep it so long.
I'd like to prepare something special  next year to celebrate its fifth anniversary. I already have a whole year to think in it.

We're having a very cold winter. It'd be great to have a stand such as White Album, that protects you from extreme cold while making you confortable inside it.
I wonder if Ghiaccio learnt to skate before having a stand, or if he acquired this ability as a part of his powers.

Natale insieme

Sólo quedan unos días para Navidad y como cada año por estas fechas, te deseo unas fiestas muy especiales y llenas de felicidad y buenos momentos.
Los asesinos también tienen derecho a relajarse y guardar las armas y los stands para compartir juntos estos momentos: No logro imaginarlos con sus propios parientes, cada uno en su hogar. Siempre los he visto como una gran extraña familia.
No es muy común que nieve en el sur de Italia, pero es algo casi obligatorio en cualquier postal navideña.

Only some days left for Christmas and this year again, I wish you all the Happiness and a lot of special moments together with the people you like.
Assassins also may relax and hide their weapons and stands to have fun just like normal people celebrating Christmas. I can't imagine them having dinner or lunch separatelly with their own relatives. I always see them as a big odd family.
Snow isn't usual in southern Italy, but well, there must always be snow in a Christmas scene!.

Me gusta relacionar a Melone con las serpientes. Simbolizan el mal, la tentación y la sensualidad y tanto ellas como el asesino son letales.
I like to connect Melone to snakes. These animals are a symbol of evil, tentation and sensuality. They and the assassin are letal.

Spavento

A Pesci con sus rasgos y su estatura le queda muy bien el disfraz de monstruo de Frankenstein para Halloween, pero teniendo en cuenta su carácter, no es un monstruo muy terrible que digamos.

Il giorno del fratellone

El  6 de agosto, es el día de Prosciutto para los fans japoneses de los asesinos de la Squadra. Aunque no sea japonesa, me uno a la celebración.
Por desgracia, no pude terminar esta ilustración a tiempo, así que la comparto con unos días de retraso.
Llevaba tres meses sin actualizar debido a un nuevo bache artístico.
Pido disculpas a todos los que hayan tenido la paciencia de seguir este blog a pesar de la falta de actualizaciones.

Last 6th. August, like every year, was Prosciutto's day for japanese fans of Squadra assassins. I'm not Japanese, but like that initiative and wanted to join it, too.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish this illustration in time. That's why I'm sharing it today, several days later. 
More than three months have passed since my last updating. It was due to a new artistic bad patch.
I apologize for it. Specially if you are one of these people who are always following this blog that I don't update very often; thank you.

Las arañas tejen su trampa despacio. Del mismo modo, los efectos del poder de Prosciutto no se perciben inmediatamente, pero cuando te das cuenta de que algo extraño está pasando, puede ser ya demasiado tarde.

Spiders knit their webs slowly. In a simmilar way, Prosciutto's power effects can't be noticed immediately, but as soon as you are aware of it, maybe it's already too late.

Pronti a uccidere

Hace tiempo que tenía ganas de dibujar a la Squadra completa, a punto de actuar.
Por desgracia, en el manga nunca vimos a los asesinos trabajando juntos, en equipo.
Aunque quizás no hubiera sido posible, ya que por la naturaleza de sus poderes, algunos de sus miembros tendrían dificultades para combinar sus habilidades o podrían acabar también con sus compañeros si se encontraban en su rango de acción.

I really felt like drawing the full Squadra with its seven members ready for action.
Unfortunately, we never saw them working together, as a team.
Maybe it wasn't possible. Some of the assassins could have found rather difficult to combine their powers with their teammates's due to  the nature of their stands. They could even have been killed by their friends if they were too close to them.

Hotel vecchio

¡Feliz 2014! -Esta es la primera entrada del año.-
Formaggio espera instrucciones en una  destartalada habitación de un viejo hotel. Fuera está nevando. Como no sabe cuándo entrará en acción, ha traído consigo a uno de sus gatos. En el hotel no están permitidos los animales, pero seguramente lo ha ocultado en el interior de su bolsillo después de reducirlo con su stand.

Happy 2014! -This is the first entry of the year.-
Formaggio waits for instructions in a dilapidated room of an old hotel. It's snowing outside. Since the waiting may be long, he decided to take one of his cats with him. The hotel is not-pet-friendly, but Formaggio managed to smuggle the cat reducing its size with his stand so it could be brought into his pocket.

Albero di Natale

Se acerca la Navidad y un año más, los asesinos se olvidan temporalmentedel crimen para celebrarlo juntos. Ghiaccio ha fabricado una estrella de navidad con sus poderes y Risotto ha decorado el árbol con su toque personal. Prosciutto ha cocinado un pandoro.

It's Christmas time and this year again, the assassins temporary forget crime and celebrate it together.
Ghiaccio has made a special Christmas star with his powers and Risotto decorated the tree with his personal touch. Prosciutto cooked a "pandoro".

Su schermo

Melone está muy concentrado "trabajando" a distancia. Parece estar disfrutando mientras monitoriza los movimientos de su stand.
Illuso no puede evitar echar un vistazo desde el espejo, pero su compañero está acostumbrado y no le presta atención.
El cuarto destartalado puede ser una casa semiabandonada o la habitación de un hostal de mala muerte que Melone ha escogido como base improvisada para esta misión.

Melone looks deeply concentrated in his distance "job". He seems to be enjoying the tracking of his stand's activity.
Illuso can't avoid to take a look from his mirror, but his teammate is used to it and ignores him.
The decrepit room in wich they are is maybe an abandoned house or a grotty hotel Melone chose as a improvised base for this mission

Assassino sinistro

De nuevo se acerca Halloween y mi web cambia su imagen de bienvenida.
Como en los dos años anteriores, también Risotto se encarga esta vez de felicitar a los seguidores de este blog y de mi fansite, muchas gracias.
El líder de la Squadra es ya bastante siniestro de por sí, no necesita disfrazarse de vampiro ni nada por el estilo. Aún así he hecho unos pequeños cambios en su gorro y su ropa para acentuar su aire tétrico.

It's almost Halloween time, so I've changed the top image of my site.
Again, Risotto's  in charge of welcoming the followers of this blog and the fansite. Thank you very much for being there.
The leader of the Squadra has a very sinister look, so he doesn't need a vampire costume or anything like that. But I changed a little his hat and outfit to make him a little scarier.

Pesci strani

Aunque no queda mucho de verano, que no quería que faltara una imagen refrescante como ilustración de bienvenida en la web.
Al ser el miembro más joven de la banda y el que menos confía en sus habilidades,  Pesci se siente inferior a sus compañeros. Le obsesiona no estar a su altura incluso en sus ratos de  relax. Mientras practica la pesca submarina le acosan unos peces muy raros, pero extrañamente familiares. ¿Será su imaginación? ¿Habrá sido todo un sueño?

There's no much summer left, but I didn't want to miss the chance of sharing a refreshing picture as top imagen in my site.
Being the youngest member in the gang and not precisely very self-confident, Pesci feels inferior to his teammates. The idea of not being as good as a killer as the rest of them, obssesses him even while he's trying to relax. He was doing some underwater fishing when he was attacked by some bizarre fishes. Was he imagining things, was it a dream?

Corvi morti

Después de sacrificar una mano, Illuso pensaba que lograría escapar del ataque de Purple Haze, el stand de Fugo, pero este ya había liberado su virus mortal.
Purple Haze, con su poder terrorífico, podría haber formado parte del equipo de asesinos, pues se trata de un stand altamente letal.
Sin embargo, el destino quiso que Fugo e Illuso no estuvieran en el mismo bando.
Los cuervos fueron los primeros en sufrir los estragos del virus. Cayendo del cielo se convirtieron en un mal presagio para el hombre del espejo.

After sacrificing one of his hands, Illuso thought he finally escaped the influence of Fugo's stand, but he was wrong and it was too late. Purple Haze had already released its letal virus.
Purple Haze has a  terrible killing power, more dangerous than most stands in assassins's team. Fugo could have perfectly been one of Risotto's men.
But destiny didn't want Illuso and Fugo fighting in the same side.
Crows were the first creatures suffering the virus attack. Falling from the sky they were birds of ill-omen to the man of the mirror.

Esta es una de las ilustraciones que realicé para la antología coreana. Quería dibujar a Prosciutto peleando contra Bucciarati desde el punto de vista de este.
El stand del guardaespaldas ha abierto algunas cremalleras en el cuerpo del asesino.
Mi plan incial era dibujar también a Grateful Dead deteniendo el golpe, pero recargaba demasiado el fondo, así que lo suprimí. El combate de Prosciutto en el tren es uno de los más emocionantes de la quinta parte.

This is one of the illustrations I drew for the korean anthology. It shows Prosciutto fighting against Bucciarati form the point of view of the last one.
The bodyguard's stand has already openend some zippers on the assassin's body.
I first planned to include the Grateful Dead in this work, but at the end I dediced to remove it because of the background; the scene resulted a little too confusing.
Prosciutto vs. Bucciarati on the train is one of my favorite scenes in the manga.

Forbici

En mi entrada anterior hablé de mi colaboración en una antología de ilustraciones que se ha vendido en la Comic World de Seúl.
Cuando reciba algunos ejemplares, que será pronto, anunciaré aquísu precio y cómo conseguirlos.
Hoy comparto un fragmento de una de las ilustraciones que he presentado. En realidad la había comenzado hace varios meses, pero la dejé de lado por falta de tiempo.
Todo comenzó con este boceto.

In my last post, I spoke about my collaboration with other artists for  an illustration anthology that was sold in Comic World convention, in Seoul.
As soon as I receive some copies, I'll anounce here how to get them and how much they are, in case you are interested.
Today I'm sharing a fragment of one of the two illustration I drew for this book.
I started to work in it months ago, actually, but left it due to my lack of time.
The first step was this sketch.

Al empezar a pintar sobre él modifiqué muchas cosas: los faldones del abrigo, el tamaño de las manos y sobre todo, la cara, que no me convencía.
When painting on it, I  modified several things. I changed the coattails, the size of the hands and redid most the face, that I didn't like very much.

En esta parte del proceso ya se ve cómo cambió el rostro.
In this step you can already see how much the face changed.

Y aquí el resultado final. Cuando se agoten las antologías, mostraré la ilustración completa.
Después de entregar el dibujo me di cuenta de que a uno de los dedos de Risotto, el índice, le falta una falange...No he querido corregirlo después ya que en la antología se ha publicado con este fallo.

And there you have the final result. Only when the anthologies in my site shop will be sold out, I'll show you the full illustration.
After delivering this work I noticed one of Risotto's fingers, the index, lack of one phalange... I haven't correct it later, because it was published this way.
