Occhi rossi

Los asesinos ya están apareciendo en el anime de Vento Aureo. Después de tantos años, podemos verlos en movimiento y escuchar sus voces. Su primera aparición, todos juntos, ha sido una delicia, algo que nunca se vio en el manga.
Han hecho un gran trabajo con Formaggio y también con Illuso.
Me gustan los ojos rojos de este último.
Estoy deseando ver al resto del equipo en acción.

The assassins are finally shown in Vento Aureo anime. After so many years having them in the manga only, it's great to listen to them speaking and watching them moving. Their first appearence, as a full team, was a pleasure, something we never saw in the original manga.
I've enjoyed Formaggio's episodes and Illuso's designs, with these red eyes that are perfect for him.
I can't wait to watch more episodes.

Il giorno di Prosciutto 2016

¡Tanto tiempo sin actualizar!
A veces los temas personales no dejan tiempo para otras cosas.
Mi web ha sido cerrada, mientras intento que vuelva a estar dispondible, me gustaría volver a actualizar el blog al menos una vez al mes.
Hoy es el día de Prosciutto entre sus fans y hay que celebrarlo comiendo jamón.

Mi Assassini site has been deleted...While I'm trying it to be online again, I want, at least to update this blog once or twice a month.
Today is Prosciutto day among their fans. So, let's celebrate it eating some ham.

Este año no he dibujado nada especial para San Valentín. Aún así, espero que hayas pasado un día muy especial con tu pareja.
Hoy actualizo sólo para compartir un boceto rápido de Prosciutto.

Las arañas tejen su trampa despacio. Del mismo modo, los efectos del poder de Prosciutto no se perciben inmediatamente, pero cuando te das cuenta de que algo extraño está pasando, puede ser ya demasiado tarde.

Il giorno di Prosciutto

Las fans japonesas de los asesinos decidieron hace algun tiempo que, a falta de una fecha de cumpleaños, el seis de agosto podría ser el "día de Prosciutto". Tiene que haber una razón para que sea precisamente ese día, pero la desconozco.
Me gusta la idea, así que este año me uno a ella con un boceto a base de líneas finas cruzadas.
Estoy ansiosa por ver qué han aportado otras fanartistas.

Japanese fans of the assassins decided some time ago that, due to the lack of his birthday date, 6th. august could be a perfect "Prosciutto's day". I'm sure there is a reason for this exact date, but I ignore it.
I like very much the idea, so I joined it this year sketching a portrait with thin crossed lines.
I'm eager to see what other fanartist are drawing today.

Ritorno

He estado muy ocupada estos últimos meses, lamento no haber actualizado en tanto tiempo.
Ahora que por fin estoy de vacaciones, quiero remediarlo y compartir más dibujos.

I've been really busy lately. I apologize for not having updated this blog for so long.
Now that I can enjoy some holidays, I'm ready to share drawings and ideas more often.

Cerniere

Esta es una de las ilustraciones que realicé para la antología coreana. Quería dibujar a Prosciutto peleando contra Bucciarati desde el punto de vista de este.
El stand del guardaespaldas ha abierto algunas cremalleras en el cuerpo del asesino.
Mi plan incial era dibujar también a Grateful Dead deteniendo el golpe, pero recargaba demasiado el fondo, así que lo suprimí. El combate de Prosciutto en el tren es uno de los más emocionantes de la quinta parte.

This is one of the illustrations I drew for the korean anthology. It shows Prosciutto fighting against Bucciarati form the point of view of the last one.
The bodyguard's stand has already openend some zippers on the assassin's body.
I first planned to include the Grateful Dead in this work, but at the end I dediced to remove it because of the background; the scene resulted a little too confusing.
Prosciutto vs. Bucciarati on the train is one of my favorite scenes in the manga.

Forbici

En mi entrada anterior hablé de mi colaboración en una antología de ilustraciones que se ha vendido en la Comic World de Seúl.
Cuando reciba algunos ejemplares, que será pronto, anunciaré aquísu precio y cómo conseguirlos.
Hoy comparto un fragmento de una de las ilustraciones que he presentado. En realidad la había comenzado hace varios meses, pero la dejé de lado por falta de tiempo.
Todo comenzó con este boceto.

In my last post, I spoke about my collaboration with other artists for  an illustration anthology that was sold in Comic World convention, in Seoul.
As soon as I receive some copies, I'll anounce here how to get them and how much they are, in case you are interested.
Today I'm sharing a fragment of one of the two illustration I drew for this book.
I started to work in it months ago, actually, but left it due to my lack of time.
The first step was this sketch.

Al empezar a pintar sobre él modifiqué muchas cosas: los faldones del abrigo, el tamaño de las manos y sobre todo, la cara, que no me convencía.
When painting on it, I  modified several things. I changed the coattails, the size of the hands and redid most the face, that I didn't like very much.

En esta parte del proceso ya se ve cómo cambió el rostro.
In this step you can already see how much the face changed.

Y aquí el resultado final. Cuando se agoten las antologías, mostraré la ilustración completa.
Después de entregar el dibujo me di cuenta de que a uno de los dedos de Risotto, el índice, le falta una falange...No he querido corregirlo después ya que en la antología se ha publicado con este fallo.

And there you have the final result. Only when the anthologies in my site shop will be sold out, I'll show you the full illustration.
After delivering this work I noticed one of Risotto's fingers, the index, lack of one phalange... I haven't correct it later, because it was published this way.

Hace dos días fue mi cumpleaños.
Una vez más, mi familia y seres queridos lo han convertido en una fecha muy especial con sus muestras de afecto en persona, por teléfono o a través de internet.
Precisamente a todos los que me felicitaron online, les dediqué este dibujo rápido de Prosciutto con el que quise mostrar mi agradecimiento.
Quiero aprovechar también el mensaje para dar las gracias a todas las personas que continúan visitando este blog a pesar de que no actualizo tan a menudo como quisiera.

Two days ago it was my birthday.
Again, my family and friends made it a very special date and shared with me lots of love and good wishes in person, by phone or through the internet.
I dedicated this fast Prosciutto drawing to everybody who wished me a happy day online as a way to thank them.
I'll use the same "thank you" message to show my gratitude to you, who still follow this blog even if I don't update it so often.

La verità nascosta

Me pregunto si bajo Baby Face se encuentra un auténtico ordenador portátil. Los stands "Wheel of Fortune" y "Strenght, de la tercera parte, ocultaban bajo su forma un automóvil y un barco reales. Esa característica hacía que esos stands fueran visibles para todo el mundo, y desde luego, Baby Face puede ser visto por personas que no tienen un stand. Prueba de ello es la joven del tren a la que Melone muestra los diversos tipos de besos del Kamasutra en el monitor.


I wonder if  Baby Face hides a real laptop. "Wheel of Fortune" and "Strenght", that appeared in the third part, were stands that had a real car and a real ship inside them. And that particularity made them visible for everyone. Baby Face can be seen for non stand-users. The girl on the train could see it: Melone used it to show her some Kamasutra kissing poses.

Fare lo sforzo.

Ha salido a la venta una antología de doujinshi de Risotto Nero que ya he encargado.
Hace algunos meses, las organizadoras del proyecto aceptaban solicitudes para colaborar. Las instrucciones, fechas, formato (con su correpondiente plantilla) etc., pueden leerse aún en este ENLACE.
Jugué con la idea de presentarme. Hubiera sido un sueño hecho realidad formar parte de un proyecto común con algunas de mis doujinkas japonesas favoritas. Pero dudo que me hubieran aceptado siendo extranjera y la comunicación habría sido difícil, puesto que no sé japonés y tendría que haber molestado a algunos amigos para que me hicieran de intérpretes y traductores.
Por otro lado, hace tiempo que no dibujo comic y ¡tengo tantísimo que mejorar en ese campo!
No he sido capaz aún de empezar ninguno de los muchos proyectos de doujinshis que tengo en mente desde el año pasado y llevo un par de meses con una nueva crisis que hace que nada de lo que dibujo estos días merezca la pena. (De ahí que no haya actualizado últimamente este blog.)
Sin duda tengo que esforzarme mucho más si quiero atreverme a hacerme ciertas ilusiones.

A Risotto doujinshi anthology is right now on sale and I ordered it. Months ago, the authors were recruting people to take part in the project. All instructions, deadlines, formats and other informations can  still be read in this LINK.

I played with the idea of collaborating. It could have been so great to be a part of a project with some of my favourite japanese fanartists implied in it! But I don't think they'd accepted a foreigner like me as a partner. Besides, the communication would have been rather difficult, since I can't Japanese. I should  have bothered some friends to translate everything.
On the other hand, I haven't drawn comic for a long time and I have too much to improve in order to be taken into consideration.

I already haven't been able  to start any of the doujinshi projects I have in mind since last year, even the easiest ones. And the worst thing is that right now, I'm on a crisis again.
Lately, I can't draw anything worth being shared. That's why so many time has passed since I last updated this blog.

I can't afford to dream in collaborating with japanese artists before making a bigger effort.

Pasadas las fiestas, mi web luce una nueva imagen de bienvenida. Una vez más, Prosciutto y su terrible stand, the Grateful Dead.

Christmas time is over and now my site welcomes its visitors with a new top illustration. It's Prosciutto's turn again. I drew him with his scary stand, the Grateful Dead.

Por otro lado, quería mostrar mi regalo del Amigo Invisible que han organizado en tumblr algunos fans de Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Se trata de un llavero de madera, pintado a mano, con la forma de Risotto. Venía en el interior de una bolsa de tela con uno de mis fanarts impresos. Es una auténtica monada.

I also feel like showing you a gift I've recently received. Some Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fans in tumblr organized a Secret santa event. This wooden handpainted keyring is a funny Risotto my Santa made for me. It came into a little cloth bag with one of my fanarts printed on it. A really cute present.

Dopo Ognisanti

Espero que hayais pasado una terrorífica noche de Halloween. Yo he celebrado hoy la festividad de Todos los Santos comiendo unos dulces típicos.
Otra vez llevo unos días algo deprimida y sin muchas ganas de dibujar. Por eso no he actualizado mucho últimamente. Prometo volver pronto al ataque.
Hoy sólo puedo compartir un boceto de Prosciutto que hice a escondidas en el trabajo, con bolígrafo. Es fruto del aburrimiento. Ahora que lo pienso siempre lo dibujo en ese ángulo...

I hope you had a scary Halloween night. I've celebrated  All Saints day eating some traditional sweets.

I'm feeling a little down lately. My drawings suck, that's why I'm not updating very often. But I promise I'll share more stuff from now on.

Today I'd like to show you a Prosciutto ballpoint pen sketch I drew at work. I was bored and noone was watching me... Now I notice that I always draw him in the same boring pose...

Cominciare

De vuelta de mi breve viaje y pasando muchísimo calor.
El boceto de Prosciutto que traigo hoy lo dibujé en el bus que me llevó desde el Norte hasta mi ciudad.
Quiero aprovechar estos días de vacaciones para comenzar alguno de los proyectos que tenía en mente desde hace tiempo. (Doujinshis protagonizados por los asesinos).
Empezar, ponerme en serio es siempre lo más difícil para mí.
Creo que mejor comenzaré con alguna historieta corta de humor de una o dos páginas, para coger práctica. Espero compartirla en la web dentro de poco. Iré comentando mis progresos en este blog.

Back from my short trip and sweeting. This summer is being too hot!

This Prosciutto sketch I'm bringing today was drawn in my sketchbook, while coming home from the North, on the bus.

I really want to start working in the Assassini doujinshi projects I've in mind, but beginning for good is always the most difficult thing in my case.

I'm planning to draw first some silly short parody (1 or 2 pages) as a practice. I hope I'll be able to finish it soon and show it in my site. I'll share the progress here.

Perché?

Alguna vez me han preguntado por qué tengo esa predilección por los asesinos de La Squadra.
Habiendo tantos y tan interesantes personajes en Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, ¿cómo han podido impactarme tanto unos secundarios de los que muchos fans ni siquiera se acuerdan?
¿Acaso hay siempre una razón para enamorarse?
Bueno, en esta caso hay algunas.
Dejando de lado su diseño, tan bueno y personal como todos los que Araki ha dado a sus personajes, el Equipo de Asesinos me gusta principalmente por que se trata de un grupo unido y bien coordinado con un objetivo común, pero donde cada miembro brilla con luz propia y tiene una personalidad y un aspecto distintivos.
Siento además debilidad por estos renegados, personajes malvados, rechazados por todos y que sólo se tienen así mismos. Son capaces de desafiar al hombre más peligroso de la mafia por ambición y orgullo. Este objetivo será la razón de su existencia: lo darán todo por alcanzar su meta.
Sin embargo, llevan impresa el aura de los perdedores. No sólo no lograrán (por muy poco) aquello a lo que aspiraron durante años, si no que todos ellos encontrarán una muerte terrible.
Este destino maldito da a los hombres de la Squadra una dimensión trágica que me resulta mucho más interesante que la de los héroes que consiguen la victoria.
Por último, aunque su caracter queda bien reflejado en el manga, exceptuando a Risotto, no sabemos nada de su pasado y eso abre una puerta enorme a la imaginación del lector. Es muy inspirador.

Sometimes, they ask me why do I like so much Squadra assassins.

You can find so many interesting characters in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, so why have these secondary characters made such a deep impression in me? There are fans who don't even remember them.

Should there be a reason for falling in love?

Well...there are some of them, actually.

I love their designs, of course. They are so good and unique as those Master Araki uses to give to most of his characters. Though, what I like most of this Assassin Team is that they are a very attached and coordinated group sharing a common target, but every member has his own personality and look and stands out on his own.

Besides, I have a weakness for renegades. Evil people rejected by everyone. Seven men who couldn't find their place and that only had themselves. They challenged the most powerful man in Mafia armed with their pride and ambition and this target became their only reason for living. They were ready to everything in order to reach this goal.

Nevertheless, they wore the losers's aura. They not only didn't got what they fought to get for years (they were close), but they found, all of them, terrible deaths.

This cursed destiny gives Squadra assassins a tragic dimension that I find far more interesting than the usual  victory obtained by heroes.

Finally, even if their personalities are defined well enough on the original manga, we don't know almost anything about them. We know a little about Risotto's past, but have no clue about his subordinates's lives. This opens a big door to our imagination; I find it very inspiring.

Difficile equilibrio

Hoy traigo un boceto rápido de Melone.
Muchas fanartistas tienden a dibujarlo exageradamente afeminado.
Puede que su forma estrafalaria de vestir y su peinado le den un toque un poco femenino.Sin embargo, tiene un cuerpo atlético y unos rasgos  muy varoniles. A mí personalmente, me gustan las ilustraciones en que se logra ese equilibrioque yo también persigo cuando lo dibujo.
En este boceto he querido dar a Melone una expresión con un aire malvado, una sonrisa que dice que no trama nada bueno.

I'm sharing today this fast Melone sketch.

Several fanartists tend to draw him too effeminate. Maybe his extravagant dressing- and hairstyle give him a certain feminine something, but he really has manly features and an athletic body. 

I like illustrations where this difficult balance is achieved and I'm always trying  to get it, too when drawing Melone.

My intention in this sketch was to give Melone a slight evil expression; a smile telling he is up to no good...

Promessa

Cuando visito las webs de las artistas japoneses que dibujan fanart de Jojo me doy cuenta de lo "pequeña" que soy, de cuánto tengo que mejorar y de lo mucho que les falta a mis dibujos para ser la mitad de atractivos que los suyos. Últimamente no tengo mucho tiempo para practicar, no tengo buenas ideas y a menudo los resultados son frustrantes, pero no quiero tirar la toalla.
A veces pienso que mi web no aporta nada y que debería cerrarla, pero he puesto cariño e ilusión en ella y creo que si soy constante y me planteo como un reto hacerlo cada día un poco mejor, puedo superarme.
Por eso, a los que me leéis o visitaís mi web en silencio, os pido paciencia, prometo mejorar.
Gracias por apoyarme. Como siempre, cualquier comentario, consejo o sugerencia serán muy bien recibidos.

When I visit my favourite Jojo japanese fanartists's sites, I notice how much have I to improve to be half as good as they are and that my drawings can't compete at all with their skilled works. I don't have free time to practice, I lack of good ideas and sometimes, when I finally sit to draw, I hate the results. It's really frustrating, but I can't surrender!.

Sometimes, I feel negative and think that maybe I should close my site, since it isn't interesting for Jojo fans. But I've put a lot of affection and illusion in it and  I'm sure that taking the challenge to draw a little better everyday is the best thing I can do to improve as an amateur artist.

To those that read me and visit my site in silence, thank you. I beg you to be a little patient and I promise to do my best from now on. Any comments, suggestions or advice will be really welcome.

Innocenza perduta

Una de las primeras cosas que nos inculcan desde niños es la diferencia entre el bien y el mal. Y en todas las culturas, salvo en caso de guerra o defensa propia, matar se considera "malo".
Si partimos de la base de que todos nacemos inocentes. ¿Cuándo pierde un asesino esa inocencia? ¿En qué momento decide traspasar la barrera de "lo correcto", desprecia esa enseñanza o deja de temer a su propia conciencia? ¿Se ha criado en un hogar con un sentido de la moral distinto? ¿Ha perdido la fe en la sociedad por algun hecho traumático? ¿Se trata sólo de egoísmo, de que el hecho de matar le produce un placer, o una sensación de poder más gratificante que respetar los valores éticos'. Quizás es mero desprecio a la vida de los demás.
En el caso de Risotto sabemos que su primer crimen fue provocado por  la insatisfacción que sintió ante una Justicia poco equitativa que sólo podría superar buscando venganza por su propia mano.
Pero ¿qué llevaría a sus hombres a dar ese paso que deja atrás para siempre la inocencia?
¿Lo habrán lamentado alguna  vez?

One of the first things they instil in us when we are children is to tell the difference between good and evil, right and wrong. In every culture to kill is considered a "wrong" thing, except  in case of war or self-defense.

If we are all born innocent, when does an assassin lose this innocence? When does he decide to cross the frontier? Maybe he has a different sense of justice, or he rejects it and isn't afraid of his remorses...Did he grew up in a home with  different morals? Did he lose his faith in Society due to a traumatic experience? Or...what if it's just that killing brings him an egoistic feeling of power or pleasure, far more satisfactory than respecting moral values? Or perhaps he just considers other people's lives insignificant.

We know that Risotto started killing because he felt Justice wasn't fair. Only by taking revenge with his own hands could he find satisfation. 

But what happened to his men? Why did they take the step to crime and leave innocence behind forever? Would they have ever regret it?

Han pasado cuatro meses desde que inauguré la web, y ¡ya la han visitado más de mil personas! Quizás pienses que esta cifra no es gran cosa, pero para mí es muy importante, ya que está centrada en unos personajes que no son especialmente populares, y no actualizo tanto como quisiera.
Tengo muchos proyectos, pero ¡me falta tanto tiempo!

Four months have passed since my site started and more than thousend people have visited it!. Maybe you don't find it very impressive, but I'm really satisfied: my site is centered in characters that aren't specially popular and I don't update as often as I should.

I've lot of ideas and projects, but I lack of time!!

Non posso evitarlo.

Sólo actualizo para compartir un boceto rápido de Prosciutto. Empecé dibujando a un hombre cualquiera y terminó siendo otra vez "Aniki"... ¡No tengo remedio!.
Tengo varias ilustraciones en mente; espero encontrar tiempo para empezar alguna.

I'm updating just to share another quick Prosciutto sketch. I started drawing a random man, but it finished by being "Aniki"... It can't be helped!
