Risotto Aureo

Cansada de la imagen de bienvenida de mi web, decidí dibujar algo parecido (Risotto de perfil), pero a la vez distinto.
Me he inspirado en los emblemas de cada una de las partes de Jojo's Bizarre Adventure en que Araki dibuja a los protagonistas dentro de un medallón dorado.

I was tired of the old index image in my site, so I decided to change it and draw something simmilar (Risotto's profile) but very different.
I got inspired by Jojo's Bizarre Adventure parts emblems that show every Jojo in a kind of golden medallion.

Pattinaggio su ghiaccio

Mi fansite cumple hoy cuatro años.
Aunque no la actualizo tan a menudo como debería, me alegra haber sido capaz de mantenerla tanto tiempo.
El año que viene me gustaría hacer algo especial para celebrar su quinto aniversario. Tengo doce meses para pensarlo.

Estamos viviendo un invierno muy frío. Sería estupendo contar con un stand como White Album que te arropa y protege de las bajas temperaturas.
Me pregunto si Ghiaccio ya sabía patinar sobre hielo antes de tener un stand o si aprender a hacerlo es parte de los poderes que White Album le otorga.

My fansite started exactly four years ago.
I don't update it so often as I should, but I'm glad anyway of having been able to keep it so long.
I'd like to prepare something special  next year to celebrate its fifth anniversary. I already have a whole year to think in it.

We're having a very cold winter. It'd be great to have a stand such as White Album, that protects you from extreme cold while making you confortable inside it.
I wonder if Ghiaccio learnt to skate before having a stand, or if he acquired this ability as a part of his powers.

Assassino sinistro

De nuevo se acerca Halloween y mi web cambia su imagen de bienvenida.
Como en los dos años anteriores, también Risotto se encarga esta vez de felicitar a los seguidores de este blog y de mi fansite, muchas gracias.
El líder de la Squadra es ya bastante siniestro de por sí, no necesita disfrazarse de vampiro ni nada por el estilo. Aún así he hecho unos pequeños cambios en su gorro y su ropa para acentuar su aire tétrico.

It's almost Halloween time, so I've changed the top image of my site.
Again, Risotto's  in charge of welcoming the followers of this blog and the fansite. Thank you very much for being there.
The leader of the Squadra has a very sinister look, so he doesn't need a vampire costume or anything like that. But I changed a little his hat and outfit to make him a little scarier.

Pesci strani

Aunque no queda mucho de verano, que no quería que faltara una imagen refrescante como ilustración de bienvenida en la web.
Al ser el miembro más joven de la banda y el que menos confía en sus habilidades,  Pesci se siente inferior a sus compañeros. Le obsesiona no estar a su altura incluso en sus ratos de  relax. Mientras practica la pesca submarina le acosan unos peces muy raros, pero extrañamente familiares. ¿Será su imaginación? ¿Habrá sido todo un sueño?

There's no much summer left, but I didn't want to miss the chance of sharing a refreshing picture as top imagen in my site.
Being the youngest member in the gang and not precisely very self-confident, Pesci feels inferior to his teammates. The idea of not being as good as a killer as the rest of them, obssesses him even while he's trying to relax. He was doing some underwater fishing when he was attacked by some bizarre fishes. Was he imagining things, was it a dream?

Corvi morti

Después de sacrificar una mano, Illuso pensaba que lograría escapar del ataque de Purple Haze, el stand de Fugo, pero este ya había liberado su virus mortal.
Purple Haze, con su poder terrorífico, podría haber formado parte del equipo de asesinos, pues se trata de un stand altamente letal.
Sin embargo, el destino quiso que Fugo e Illuso no estuvieran en el mismo bando.
Los cuervos fueron los primeros en sufrir los estragos del virus. Cayendo del cielo se convirtieron en un mal presagio para el hombre del espejo.

After sacrificing one of his hands, Illuso thought he finally escaped the influence of Fugo's stand, but he was wrong and it was too late. Purple Haze had already released its letal virus.
Purple Haze has a  terrible killing power, more dangerous than most stands in assassins's team. Fugo could have perfectly been one of Risotto's men.
But destiny didn't want Illuso and Fugo fighting in the same side.
Crows were the first creatures suffering the virus attack. Falling from the sky they were birds of ill-omen to the man of the mirror.

Cavalcando un ratto

En su enfrentamiento con Narancia, Formaggio tuvo unos momentos difíciles en las alcantarillas, donde reduciendo su estatura, esperaba poder ocultarse de Aerosmith, el stand con forma de avión teledirigido de su enemigo. Este stand podía rastrear a sus víctimas detectando su calor, por lo que el asesino pensó que escondiéndose entre las ratas y avanzando montado en una de ellas, podría eludir sus pequeñas pero dañinas ráfagas de metralla.

Las Fiestas han terminado y esta ilustración es ahora la imagen de bienvenida de la web, que en sólo unos días cumple ya dos años. ¡Cómo pasa el tiempo!

During his fight against Narancia, Formaggio had a hard time. He reduced his size and hid in the sewer, where he thought he could avoid his enemy's attack. Aerosmith, Narancia's stand had the shape of a toy aircraft that could track its targets with its heat detector. So, Formaggio joined some rats and even rode one of them in order to confuse Aerosmith and not being shot by its harmful sharpnel fire.

Bagno freddo

El servidor de mi web ha cambiado. Como no se me notificó, estuve intentando actualizar sin éxito durante días. Por suerte ya pude contactar con Funpic y me facilitaron la nueva dirección.

Por otro lado, este blog ha cumplido ya dos años, en concreto el pasado 6 de agosto y no me había dado cuenta. Ya es demasiado tarde, pero  para el siguiente aniversario me gustaría hacer un sorteo o algo especial.

Este fanart es la nueva imagen de bienvenida de la web. Aunque agosto está terminando, aún es verano. en Italia todavía hace calor.
Y Ghiaccio lo combate a su manera. Espero que no hubiera nadie más en la piscina en ese momento.

My site ftp-server has changed. I didn't know it and tried to update for days with no result. I was really worried. Fortunately, I contacted Funpic and they provided me the new adress.

 By the other hand, this blog is two years old since last August 6th. and I hadn't noticed. Now it's too late, but I hope I'll be able to do something special next year, like a kind of lottery.

This illustration is the new top image in my site. August may be about to finish but it's still summer and in Italy it's hot.

Ghiaccio fights this heat his own way. I hope there wasn't anybode else in that swimming pool.

He actualizado la página de bienvenida de la web con este fanart de Formaggio. También he subido, en la sección "gift" los dibujos que me han dedicado últimamente algunas amigas.

Formaggio puede ser como Gulliver en el País de los Gigantes o en el de los Enanos. Seguramente utilice su poder de reducir su propio tamaño para infiltrarse discretamente en el lugar donde se encuentre su víctima. Pero para matar, es mucho más útil la otra faceta de su poder:  volver a su objetivo  tan pequeño como un insecto. De este modo, le basta con pisarlo para terminar su trabajo.


Pero aquí Formaggio y Little Feat sólo están echándome una mano acercándome un lápiz.

I've updated my fansite with a new top image: a Formaggio one. I'm also sharing the works  some friends have lately drawn for me. You can see them in the "gift" gallery.

Formaggio can become a kind of Gulliver in Lilliput or in Brobdingnag. He surely uses his stand  to reduce his own size when he needs to  infiltrate discreetly his victim's place.

But his power is more useful to kill when it makes his target shrink to the size of an insect. This way Formaggio only has to step on him or her to do his job.

But in this illustration, Formaggio and Little Feat show a more kind aspect and  are just helping me and  bringing me a pencil.

Pioggia autunnale

Pesci nunca había aparecido en la imagen de bienvenida de mi fansite, así que he querido remediarlo dedicándole una ilustración otoñal y le he puesto una ropa similar a la que viste normalmente, pero un poco más adecuada para la estación. Aprovecho para mostrar por separado las distintas capas del coloreado.

Pesci had never been in the top image of my site, so I decided to draw an Autumn special illustration of him. He's wearing more fitting clothes for this weather. Now I'd like to show you separatelly all layers composing this  fanart, so you can see how do I color.

1. Línea. Directamente con el programa SAI. He utilizado distintos colores para crear un efecto más suave que si utilizara sólo el negro.
1. Line. With SAI paint tool. I used several colors. This way the final effect is softer than using just black.

 

2. Colores planos. En una única capa. La capa de la línea, sin transparentar, va sobre esta.

2. Spot colors. I put them in a single layer. Line layer should be over this one, without transparence.

3. Sombras. En tonos grises. Se superponen a la capa del color en modo transparente.
3. Shading. I shade in grey tones. That's a transparent layer I put over the color one.

4. Las letras del paraguas y el estampado del chaleco están realizados a mano, en capas aparte colocadas entre la del sombreado y la del color.
4. Words on the umbrella and clothes pattern are drawn by hand on different layers, between shading and color layers.

 

5. En la última capa dibujé la lluvia, los charcos y las hojas secas. Sin línea y con la brocha "pincel". Esta capa va encima del resto.

5. I created a last layer to draw with "pencil" brush raindrops, puddles and dead leaves. This one goes over the rest.

6. Una vez acoplado todo, este es el resultado final.

6. After merging all layers, that's the final result.

Specchio rotto

Illuso se encarga desde hoy de dar la bienvenida a los visitantes de mi web; algo que no le había correspondido hasta ahora. Comparto aquí también la ilustración para que pueda verse más grande haciendo click sobre ella.

¡Este fin de semana parto a Roma! ¡Estoy tan emocionada! Es la primera vez que viajo a Italia, la tierra de Risotto y sus hombres. Me pregunto si no me encontraré con Diavolo o Polnareff en el Coliseo.

Next week-end I'm flying to Rome! I'm so excited! It'll be my first time visiting  Squadra guys' homeland. Will I find Diavolo or Polnareff in Colisseum?.

Libro e Ferie

El libro que comentaba en mi entrada anterior puede comprarse también directamente en la web de blurb. Pero al no pasar por mis manos, si lo encargas ahí no podré firmártelo.
He abierto también una sección de tienda en mi web. Ten en cuenta que los precios que indico ya incluyen gastos de envío.
Acabo de empezar mis vacaciones y quiero aprovechar, entre otras cosas, para dibujar. Pero el jueves me voy al norte del país y no podré actualizar  en más una semana. Me llevaré mi cuaderno por si encuentro hueco para algun boceto.
Hoy traigo un fragmento de un fanart de Risotto que empecé hace mucho y que retomo de cuando en cuando pero nunca termino.

My holidays started yesterday. That means that I'll have more time to draw. But in two days I'm leaving to the North, so I won't be able to update during the next seven days or so. Anyway, I'll take my sketchbook with me. 

There you have a fragment of a work in process. It's an old one.  I take it now and them, but never finish it...

 

Sotto l'ombra del diavolo

Hoy he subido a la web la ilustración en la que he estado trabajando estos días.
La comparto aquí también ya que haciendo click sobre ella puede verse algo más grande.
Las flores me dieron algo de trabajo y no acaban de convencerme; es como si alguien hubiera plantado a los miembros de la Squadra en un huerto, como si fueran lechugas... Pero no se me ocurría otra manera mejor de rematar esa composición en forma de uve.
Prentendía además, que las flores rojas simbolizaran la sangre, pero ahora pienso que nadie lo va a relacionar...
La sombra de Diavolo domina la imagen. Amenazante y misteriosa. Tanto cuando estaban a sus órdenes como cuando lo desafiaron, la presencia invisible del "Boss" ha sido siempre para Risotto y sus hombres la sombra que cobija, la sombra que amenaza y finalmente la sombra que obsesiona y arrastra a la oscuridad y a la muerte. Su razón para vivir y su condena. El destino de Diavolo y de los asesinos estaba unido del mismo modo en que una sombra no puede independizarse del cuerpo que la proyecta.

I've updated my site with the finished  illustration in  wich I was working these days.

I'm sharing it here, too, so you can see it bigger when cliking on it.

The red flowers gave me some work and now I couldn't say if putting them there was a good idea, because I feel that the assassins look like if they were vegetables planted in a garden, but I did'nt find a nicer way to border this "V" composition. Besides, I thought that red flowers could symbolize blood, but now I'm sure that nobody could draw an analogy.

Diavolo's shadow dominates the illustration. A mysterious and threatening one. The "Boss" presence has always planned on Squadra guys's lives. Under his orders or against him, Risotto and his men were fed by Diavolo's shadow, they hid or took shelter under it and finally got obssessed and threatened by this undefinied shape that engulfed them into darkness and death. They never met the man, so only his shadow was their reason for living and the cause of their death. Their destiny tied them together in the same way a shadow can't leave the body projecting it.

Non più maggio per Formaggio.

Nueva imagen de presentación en la web.
Esta vez se trata de Formaggio. Tenía intención de haber publicado esta ilustración el mes pasado, pues iba a llevar un texto; un pequeño juego de palabras en italiano. "Maggio"; la última parte del nombre del asesino pelirrojo, significa "mayo". Pero lamentablemente no he podido terminarla hasta hoy y la broma ha quedado obsoleta...
¿Por qué tantas flores? Porque quería dibujar algo relacionado con la primavera, ya que aún no ha terminado. Además, al verse tan grandes en comparación con Formaggio nos avisan de que éste ha utilizado su stand para reducir su estatura. Yo diría que se oculta tras los pétalos para infiltrarse en la vivienda de su próxima víctima...

New top image in my site. 

This time, it's Formaggio's turn. I really had the intention to finish this work last month, but I didn't find any free time. My idea was to put a little text on it playing with italian words: "Maggio", the final part of our readhead assassin's name means "May" in Italian... Now it's too late for this silly pun, I'm afraid...

Why those flowers? Even if  May has passed, it's spring already, so I think they are very suitable. 
If they look too big is because Formaggio is using his power to reduce himself. I bet he's hiding behind the petals so as to infiltrate his next victim's place.

Han pasado cuatro meses desde que inauguré la web, y ¡ya la han visitado más de mil personas! Quizás pienses que esta cifra no es gran cosa, pero para mí es muy importante, ya que está centrada en unos personajes que no son especialmente populares, y no actualizo tanto como quisiera.
Tengo muchos proyectos, pero ¡me falta tanto tiempo!

Four months have passed since my site started and more than thousend people have visited it!. Maybe you don't find it very impressive, but I'm really satisfied: my site is centered in characters that aren't specially popular and I don't update as often as I should.

I've lot of ideas and projects, but I lack of time!!

Thank you very much for following me. I remember you that any idea, request or suggestion is always  very welcomed.

Primavera

Cambio de imagen de bienvenida en mi web.
Quería dibujar algo relacionado con la primavera, pero las flores y las mariposas no me parecen muy adecuadas para ilustrar la imagen de un sicario, así que he querido incluir también algunos elementos siniestros: las flores cayendo (vidas que acaban), un cráneo (la muerte a los pies del asesino) y la serpiente, como símbolo de maldad y también una señal del destino que acecha a Melone.

New top image in my site.

My intention was to draw something related to springtime, but flowers and butterflies don't fit the image of a killer, so I added some sinister elements, too: flowers falling (as a symbol of lives being finished), a skull (Death before the assassin) and a snake, that means evilness, but in this case, it's also a sign of Melone's destiny.

Buon San Valentino!

En mi caso es un día normal y corriente, pero no por ello quería dejar de felicitar a todos los enamorados que lean esto.
Este Melone será durante un par de días la imagen de bienvenida de la web.
No recomiendo salir con Melone. Tiene demasiada afición a eliminar a las mujeres a las que seduce.

In my case, today isn't a special day, but I'd like to wish a happy Valentine Day to all people in love reading this.

This Melone pic is being shown in my site. It'll be the top image during a couple of days.

I don't recommend you to go out with Melone. He's too fond on eliminating the women he seduces.

Profili dei personaggi

Nueva sección en la web: "Chara Profile".
Se trata de unas fichas con algunos datos básicos  acerca de los componentes de la Squadra y sus poderes ilustradas con los fanarts en blanco y negro que subí aquí hace poco. También incluyo algunos apuntes de mi visión personal de los personajes. Son ideas que he comentado muchas veces aquí, pero que pensé que merecía la pena resumir y tener a mano.
Dentro de unos días proporcionaré una versión en castellano de estos perfiles en este blog, probablemente en una pestaña aparte.

To illustrate it I've used the black and white fanart I've recently shared here.

In that section you can find some basic infos about Squadra members and their powers and  my personal vision of  them. I've talked about that several times in this blog. It's not that I'm intending to repeat what I've already told, I just found a good idea to summarize and put all those ideas together.

Cuore gelido

He actualizado la web con un retrato de Ghiaccio.
Mirando mis fanarts de la Squadra, me doy cuenta de que no he dibujado demasiado al dueño de White Album. ¡Y eso hay que remediarlo!
Ghiaccio tiene un fuerte temperamento y cualquier pequeña cosa le hace explotar, pero aunque parezca muy fogoso, estoy segura de que alguien con su extraordinario poder debe tener un corazón frío como un témpano.

--No estoy muy satisfecha con el coloreado del cabello. Debo probar otro método la próxima vez.--

I've updated my site with a new Ghiaccio's portrait.

I've noticed that I haven't drawn White Album's owner very often! He deserves more of my attention!.

Ghiaccio has a strong character. Little things can infuriate him easily, but even if he seems to be an ardent guy,I'm sure that there is actually something frozen in the deepest of his soul that gives him his awsome power.

Due lavori in corso

Tengo ganas de actualizar la web y el blog, pero últimamente empiezo muchas cosas a la vez y no termino ninguna.
Entre otros dibujos, estoy trabajando ahora mismo en un par de Risottos. Uno  cerrará la serie "blanco y negro" que he dedicado a todos los componentes de la Squadra. Ya está casi listo. Parece mentira, pero es la primera vez que dibujo al líder en su pose característica.
Al otro no sé si le daré color o lo pintaré sólo en grises. Quiero hacer un experimento que ya veremos cómo queda. Lo mostraré aquí y en la web cuando esté terminado, pero ya he cambiado muchas cosas del boceto inicial, del que de todas maneras os enseño un fragmento para que veáis que no estoy parada.

I really feel like updating my new site and this blog, but I don't know why, lately, I'm working in several illustrations at the same time whitout finishing any of them.

Amongst these works in process, there are two Risottos. One of them will close the "Black and White series" that I've dedicated to every Squadra member. This one is almost done. It may be difficult to believe, but it's being my first time drawing the leader in his famous pose.

The second one is more experimental. I don't know if I'll get the effect I want to achieve. I'll show it anyway if I'm able to finish it. I'm not very sure if it will be colored or if I'll use grey scale only. There you have a part of the initial sketch, even if I've already changed lots of things.

 As you can see, I don't update so often as I used to do, but I don't stop drawing my assassini!
