Prosciutto Day 2017

Hacía mucho, mucho tiempo que no dibujaba. Desde hace un par de años, mi trabajo no me deja apenas tiempo libre. Espero poder actualizar de vez en cuando. Dibujé este Prosciutto para un desafío de Facebook. Casualmente lo he terminado en el "Prosciutto Day".

I haven't updated for ages! Sorry. To say true, since I got my present job I barely have time to draw. I hope I'll be able to share new works here more often.
I've drawn this Prosciutto for a Facebook challenge. I've just finished it and then I've just noticed that today is Prosciutto Day!!

¡Tanto tiempo sin actualizar!
A veces los temas personales no dejan tiempo para otras cosas.
Mi web ha sido cerrada, mientras intento que vuelva a estar dispondible, me gustaría volver a actualizar el blog al menos una vez al mes.
Hoy es el día de Prosciutto entre sus fans y hay que celebrarlo comiendo jamón.

Sometimes, life and personal circunstances don't let you any time for other things, like drawing.
Mi Assassini site has been deleted...While I'm trying it to be online again, I want, at least to update this blog once or twice a month.
Today is Prosciutto day among their fans. So, let's celebrate it eating some ham.

Este año no he dibujado nada especial para San Valentín. Aún así, espero que hayas pasado un día muy especial con tu pareja.
Hoy actualizo sólo para compartir un boceto rápido de Prosciutto.
He abierto una tienda online en Society6. Echa un vistazo si te apetece. De momento no hay demasiadas cosas, pero puedes encontrar artículos con algunas de mis ilustraciones de la Squadra. Si compras algun producto, por favor, envíame una foto y cuéntame qué te parece.

I haven't drawn anything special for Valentine Day. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed last Sunday with your most beloved one.
I'm just updating today to share a fast Prosciutto sketch.
Besides, I've recently opened an online store at Society6. Take a look if you feel like it. Right now, there are only a few things, but most of them are Squadra related. If you ever buy something there, please, send me a photo and tell me if you are satisfied.

Spavento

A Pesci con sus rasgos y su estatura le queda muy bien el disfraz de monstruo de Frankenstein para Halloween, pero teniendo en cuenta su carácter, no es un monstruo muy terrible que digamos.

Il giorno del fratellone

El  6 de agosto, es el día de Prosciutto para los fans japoneses de los asesinos de la Squadra. Aunque no sea japonesa, me uno a la celebración.
Por desgracia, no pude terminar esta ilustración a tiempo, así que la comparto con unos días de retraso.
Llevaba tres meses sin actualizar debido a un nuevo bache artístico.
Pido disculpas a todos los que hayan tenido la paciencia de seguir este blog a pesar de la falta de actualizaciones.

Last 6th. August, like every year, was Prosciutto's day for japanese fans of Squadra assassins. I'm not Japanese, but like that initiative and wanted to join it, too.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish this illustration in time. That's why I'm sharing it today, several days later. 
More than three months have passed since my last updating. It was due to a new artistic bad patch.
I apologize for it. Specially if you are one of these people who are always following this blog that I don't update very often; thank you.

Ragnatela

Las arañas tejen su trampa despacio. Del mismo modo, los efectos del poder de Prosciutto no se perciben inmediatamente, pero cuando te das cuenta de que algo extraño está pasando, puede ser ya demasiado tarde.

Spiders knit their webs slowly. In a simmilar way, Prosciutto's power effects can't be noticed immediately, but as soon as you are aware of it, maybe it's already too late.

Il giorno di Prosciutto

Las fans japonesas de los asesinos decidieron hace algun tiempo que, a falta de una fecha de cumpleaños, el seis de agosto podría ser el "día de Prosciutto". Tiene que haber una razón para que sea precisamente ese día, pero la desconozco.
Me gusta la idea, así que este año me uno a ella con un boceto a base de líneas finas cruzadas.
Estoy ansiosa por ver qué han aportado otras fanartistas.

Japanese fans of the assassins decided some time ago that, due to the lack of his birthday date, 6th. august could be a perfect "Prosciutto's day". I'm sure there is a reason for this exact date, but I ignore it.
I like very much the idea, so I joined it this year sketching a portrait with thin crossed lines.
I'm eager to see what other fanartist are drawing today.

Cerniere

Esta es una de las ilustraciones que realicé para la antología coreana. Quería dibujar a Prosciutto peleando contra Bucciarati desde el punto de vista de este.
El stand del guardaespaldas ha abierto algunas cremalleras en el cuerpo del asesino.
Mi plan incial era dibujar también a Grateful Dead deteniendo el golpe, pero recargaba demasiado el fondo, así que lo suprimí. El combate de Prosciutto en el tren es uno de los más emocionantes de la quinta parte.

This is one of the illustrations I drew for the korean anthology. It shows Prosciutto fighting against Bucciarati form the point of view of the last one.
The bodyguard's stand has already openend some zippers on the assassin's body.
I first planned to include the Grateful Dead in this work, but at the end I dediced to remove it because of the background; the scene resulted a little too confusing.
Prosciutto vs. Bucciarati on the train is one of my favorite scenes in the manga.

Hace dos días fue mi cumpleaños.
Una vez más, mi familia y seres queridos lo han convertido en una fecha muy especial con sus muestras de afecto en persona, por teléfono o a través de internet.
Precisamente a todos los que me felicitaron online, les dediqué este dibujo rápido de Prosciutto con el que quise mostrar mi agradecimiento.
Quiero aprovechar también el mensaje para dar las gracias a todas las personas que continúan visitando este blog a pesar de que no actualizo tan a menudo como quisiera.

Two days ago it was my birthday.
Again, my family and friends made it a very special date and shared with me lots of love and good wishes in person, by phone or through the internet.
I dedicated this fast Prosciutto drawing to everybody who wished me a happy day online as a way to thank them.
I'll use the same "thank you" message to show my gratitude to you, who still follow this blog even if I don't update it so often.

Prosciutto y "the Grateful Dead".
Empecé esta ilustración en blanco y negro y sin darme cuenta terminé por ponerle color...De vez en cuando me gusta combinar ambas cosas, pero quizás quede algo extraño...como ¿inacabado?.

No se dice nada al respecto en el manga, pero me gusta imaginar que un stand se vuelve más nítido, más claramente visible para su dueño y otras personas con poderes si quien lo posee confía en sus capacidades, en su propia fuerza. En definitiva, en su propio stand. Pienso que la fe en él de su dueño aumenta su potencia y lo vuelve más "real".
Pero a pesar de lo que acabo de comentar, me gusta dibujar los stands semitransparentes porque al fin y al cabo, son energía espiritual, y es más facil representar así esta idea que dándoles un aspecto más sólido.

Prosciutto and "the Grateful Dead".

I intended to paint this illustration in black and white, but I ended by adding colors. I like to combine both things now and then, but I wonder if the final result is a little odd...It may probably look somehow... unfinished.

Nothing about it is told in the manga, but I like to think a stand can be more clearly seen by its user and other people with stand powers if the man having it trust himself, his force and  abilities. More accurately, if he believes in his own stand. Your faith in your stand  would make it more powerful and "real".

Nevertheless, I like to draw stands a little transparent because like that it's easier to make people understand they are spiritual energy than if they had a more "solide" look.

Maschera antigas

Al igual que "Man in the Mirror", el stand de Illuso parece llevar un gorro con gafas de aviador, el diseño de la cabeza de "The Grateful Dead" recuerda un poco la de un hombre llevando una especie de máscara de gas.
No sería descabellado teniendo en cuenta que su "arma" es el humo que brota de los ojos que cubren todo su extraño cuerpo.

Man in the Mirror; Illuso's stand, seems to be wearing a pilot hat with goggles. In the case of "the Grateful Dead", its head reminds the one of a man wearing a kind of gas mask.

That would have some logic, taking into account that this stand's "weapon" is the smoke expelled by the multiple eyes that cover its strange body.

Fratello e l'amico invisibile

Pasadas las fiestas, mi web luce una nueva imagen de bienvenida. Una vez más, Prosciutto y su terrible stand, the Grateful Dead.
Muestro también un fragmento del boceto que ha servido de base.

Christmas time is over and now my site welcomes its visitors with a new top illustration. It's Prosciutto's turn again. I drew him with his scary stand, the Grateful Dead.

Por otro lado, quería mostrar mi regalo del Amigo Invisible que han organizado en tumblr algunos fans de Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Se trata de un llavero de madera, pintado a mano, con la forma de Risotto. Venía en el interior de una bolsa de tela con uno de mis fanarts impresos. Es una auténtica monada.

I also feel like showing you a gift I've recently received. Some Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fans in tumblr organized a Secret santa event. This wooden handpainted keyring is a funny Risotto my Santa made for me. It came into a little cloth bag with one of my fanarts printed on it. A really cute present.

Dopo Ognisanti

Espero que hayais pasado una terrorífica noche de Halloween. Yo he celebrado hoy la festividad de Todos los Santos comiendo unos dulces típicos.
Otra vez llevo unos días algo deprimida y sin muchas ganas de dibujar. Por eso no he actualizado mucho últimamente. Prometo volver pronto al ataque.
Hoy sólo puedo compartir un boceto de Prosciutto que hice a escondidas en el trabajo, con bolígrafo. Es fruto del aburrimiento. Ahora que lo pienso siempre lo dibujo en ese ángulo...

I hope you had a scary Halloween night. I've celebrated  All Saints day eating some traditional sweets.

I'm feeling a little down lately. My drawings suck, that's why I'm not updating very often. But I promise I'll share more stuff from now on.

Today I'd like to show you a Prosciutto ballpoint pen sketch I drew at work. I was bored and noone was watching me... Now I notice that I always draw him in the same boring pose...

La Bocca della Verità

Imagina que los asesinos de la Squadra tienen un "encargo" en Roma.
Antes de realizarlo, se familiarizan con el lugar y dan una vuelta por la ciudad.
Seguro que Prosciutto pondría a prueba el valor de Pesci ante la "Boca de la Verdad". Y seguro que este se comportaría como un "mammone".

Imagine that Squadra assassins have some "job" in Rome.

Before working, they visit the city, so they become familiar with the place.

I'm sure that, in front of the "Mouth of Truth" Prosciutto would test Pesci's courage. And I'm also sure that he'd act as a "mammone".

Ritorno da Roma e regali di compleanno

De vuelta de Roma, donde comí risotto de marisco, pizza de formaggio y prosciutto, delicioso gelato y tomé caffe fredo (café con ghiaccio -hielo-).
Durante mi estancia tuvo lugar mi cumpleaños, y cuando regresé encontré algunos magníficos dibujos, regalos de buenas amigas, que comparto no sin cierta vergüenza, ya que mi nivel como artista está muy por debajo el suyo.

Back from Rome, where I eat seafood risotto, formaggio and prosciutto pizza, a delicious gelato and  had a caffe fredo (ice coffee or coffe with ghiaccio).

I celebrated my birthday in Italy. Later, when I was back home, some wonderful gifts from my friends surprised me. I'm sharing them here even if these masterpieces make my own art look like rubbish.

Prosciutto es un regalo de Cris, la maravillosa artista chilena. Risotto es obra de Rowein, otra genial dibujante de la misma nacionalidad con las que mantengo amistad desde hace muchos años.

Zasio, de Estados Unidos, que me dedicó el pastel con estilo de Risotto, es alguien a quien conozco desde hace sólo unos meses, pero a la que aprecio mucho también. Las tres alegraron mucho mi regreso.

Prosciutto is a gift by Cris, the wonderful chilean artist. Risotto was nicely drawn by Rowein, another awsome author from the same country. They are old and friends of me that I love.


Zasio, from the States, "baked" this Risotto cake for me. I met her only some months ago, but I alreadtt admire and like her a lot.
The three of them provided me a very happy return.

Libro viaggiatore

Uno de mis fanbooks parte a Suiza, un bello país que me gustaría visitar algun día. Me hace feliz que mis dibujos lleguen a lugares donde yo aún no he estado.

One of my fanbooks is being shipped to Switzerland, a beautiful country I wish I could visite one of these days. I'm happy when my drawings travel to places I've never been in.

Cominciare

De vuelta de mi breve viaje y pasando muchísimo calor.
El boceto de Prosciutto que traigo hoy lo dibujé en el bus que me llevó desde el Norte hasta mi ciudad.
Quiero aprovechar estos días de vacaciones para comenzar alguno de los proyectos que tenía en mente desde hace tiempo. (Doujinshis protagonizados por los asesinos).
Empezar, ponerme en serio es siempre lo más difícil para mí.
Creo que mejor comenzaré con alguna historieta corta de humor de una o dos páginas, para coger práctica. Espero compartirla en la web dentro de poco. Iré comentando mis progresos en este blog.

Back from my short trip and sweeting. This summer is being too hot!

This Prosciutto sketch I'm bringing today was drawn in my sketchbook, while coming home from the North, on the bus.

I really want to start working in the Assassini doujinshi projects I've in mind, but beginning for good is always the most difficult thing in my case.

I'm planning to draw first some silly short parody (1 or 2 pages) as a practice. I hope I'll be able to finish it soon and show it in my site. I'll share the progress here.

Motivazione

¡He regresado! Después de varias semanas viajando y ocupada con otras cosas, creo que volveré a tener tiempo para  actualizar más a menudo este blog.
Tengo varios dibujos en proceso que espero terminar y compartir pronto.

Algunas fanartistas anuncian en sus webs que están trabajando en nuevos proyectos que presentarán en la próxima Golden Blood, un mercado de doujinshi dedicado exclusivamente a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Ya he visto muestras de nuevas historias protagonizadas por la Squadra.
Esto me estimula mucho. Me entran ganas de hacer algo así yo también, aunque sea de forma más modesta.

I'm back! After several weeks travelling and  rather busy with tons of things, I think I'll be able to update this blog more often.

I'm working right now in some illustrations that I intend to finish and share soon.

A lot of Japanese fanartists are announcing on their sites that they are working  in new projects that will be presented in next Golden Blood  (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure doujinshi market). I'm very excited after watching samples of their works, some of them with Squadra guys as main characters!

I wish I could take part in something like that. I feel like drawing my own doujinshi, even if I don't have the means to publish it.

Sólo actualizo para compartir un boceto rápido de Prosciutto. Empecé dibujando a un hombre cualquiera y terminó siendo otra vez "Aniki"... ¡No tengo remedio!.
Tengo varias ilustraciones en mente; espero encontrar tiempo para empezar alguna.

I'm updating just to share another quick Prosciutto sketch. I started drawing a random man, but it finished by being "Aniki"... It can't be helped!
